

Amy lived most of her life in this area. She graduated from Madison High School with the class of 1945. She then attended Bowling Green State University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in education. Amy taught as a supervising teacher at Bowling Green and also at Madison, Mansfield City, Butler Village and finally Galion City Schools, from where she retired in 1985. She also taught one year at Galion Christian School after retirement from public schools. Amy was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma for 35 years. She also taught Sunday School for a total of 50 years. Amy most recently attended First Baptist of Galion and was a member of morning Bible study at Clear Fork. She had also owned and operated Amy's Restaurant in Butler with her husband, where she made all the delicious pies. She also authored a yet to be published children's book, "The Apple That Went to School". Every year Amy memorized and recited "The Other Wise Man" at Christmas time for schools and churches.
Amy is survived by her children; Phil (Jodi) Harris, Pauline (Arch) Eaton, Kathleen (Neal) Wallace and Nova Harris; grandchildren, Marc (Debbie) Harris, Lindsay Harris, Elizabeth Harris, David (Melissa) Eaton, Amy and Brittany Eaton, and Beth Ann and Kaley Wallace; great grandchildren, Zane and Gage Harris and Madison and Miranda Eaton; siblings, Gerry Brandt, Carl Trease and Richard Trease. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Fox; previous husband and father of her children, Herman Harris; daughter, Doris Harris; son, Gary Harris; two grandsons, Stephen Harris and Michael Harris; her sister, Marcene Kuth; and brothers, Herschel, Vernon, Al, George Carlton and Charles Trease.
Friends may call Friday, October 28, 2016 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bunker Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Galion Alumni Association Project Fund.
