Ann G. Hock, 89, of Mansfield, beloved mom, grandma, sister, and friend went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, November 11, 2010 as quietly and gracefully as she lived her life. Born December 1, 1920, in Austria/Hungary, she was the daughter of Michael and Magdalena Betz Gerich. A homemaker, Ann was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church on Middle Bellville Road. She had previously worked at Leo Stuhldrerher Florist. Always quietly working to raise her family and flowers in the same loving and tireless way, Ann cared for all she knew with the same love and strength. With just one hug, she could make every problem you had go away. Ann never had a cross word for anyone and all were welcome in her home. To stay with her was to be treated like the most important person in the world. Ann will live on in all her family and all who knew her.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Fidler of Mansfield and Nancy Ray Leach of Bellville; five grandchildren, Jamie Jim Akers, Mike Paula Fidler, Jennifer Phillip Hopkins, Candie Bill Rannigan and Andy Dana Kragick; great grandchildren, Jason Secrist, Brittany Michael Tribuzzo, Addison Fuller, John and Alysha Fidler, Nick Cox, Molly Rannigan, Anne and Sofia Kragick, Samuel Hopkins and Maria Tribuzzo; and two great great grandchildren, Brianna and Lucas Fidler; a sister, Elsa Cullen of Lexington; a brother-in-law, Frank Hock of Mansfield; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Samantha.
