Barbara A. Hoff, 90, passed away early Christmas morning after a 10-year battle with Alzheimer's disease, at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and this was the time she could show her truly giving spirit to others around her. Barbara enjoyed playing Bingo, watching horse races, cross stitching, Amish dolls and attending craft shows. She was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan.
She is survived by two daughters, Jan Bill Simpson of Ontario and Connie Robert E. Mortimer of Fairfield; grandchildren, Jody Keith, Suzette Miller, Stacy Volz, Heather Harris, Shannon Turk, Bobby McFarland, Bonnie McFarland and Korbi Daily; twenty-three great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel and Patty, both of Mount Vernon; sister-in-law, Lillian Hoff; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, John Hoff; lifetime partner, Harold Rondy; daughter, Barbara Jean Sorenson; brother, Dan; and sisters, Alice and Gladys.
