Barbara D. Johnston, 64, of Mansfield, passed away Thursday morning, August 6, 2015, at Arbors at Mifflin Care Center. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio, on November 14, 1950, to the late Robert E. and Katherine E. (Westlake) Johnston.
Barbara had a generosity that was unmatched. Her kindness, caring, and concern for others perfectly suited her career at Twin Oaks Nursing Home, where she was Program Director, and Catalyst Life Services. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and an accomplished violinist. Barbara was also a member of the Amvets.
She is survived by a brother, Robert Johnston of Mansfield; and good friend, Chris Calhoun of Mansfield.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. in Grace Episcopal Church, 41 Bowman St., Mansfield, Ohio. Rector Emeritus David S. Sipes will conduct the service. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
