

Barbara Schuster, 88 of Mansfield died Thursday, July 25, 2002 at Lexington Court Care Center after an extended illness. Mrs. Schuster was born April 6, 1914 in Franzfeld, Yugoslavia and was an area resident since 1952. She had worked at Ohio Brass and was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, gardening and growing flowers. She loved cooking and baking for her family. She was a member of the Daughters of Herman.
Barbara is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Erna and Frank Becker of Mansfield; a daughter-in-law, Linda Schuster; six grandchildren and their spouses, Karl and Marcy Schuster and Ingrid and Roger Troyer, all of Mansfield, Monika and Perry Arnold of Beavercreek, Ohio, Annette and Edward Doklovic of Mansfield, Anna and Sandro Hollenstein of Switzerland and Kathy Becker of Mansfield; thirteen great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Rosi Supper of Germany; and a half-brother, Michael Merkle of Austria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Schuster in 1998; a son, Adam Schuster in 1999; a daughter-in-law, Erika Schuster in 1982; a sister, Elizabeth Jahraus; and her parents, Friedrich and Christine Miller Hild.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Sunday, July 28 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Monday at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Rev. Dr. David Hartzfeld. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
