
Bernard Leon Johnson, 82, of Mansfield, died Sunday, November 28, 2010, at Crystal Care Nursing Home in Mansfield. Born March 16, 1928, in Millington, MI, he was the son of Herold and Bessie Jamieson Johnson. A veteran of the United States Army, he retired from General Motors in 1979 following 30 years of service as a Supervisor.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Emma Jeanne Johnson; two sons, Kenneth Margie Johnson of Williamette Valley, Oregon and Mark Luanne Johnson of Mansfield; a daughter, Jane Jim Heydinger of Marietta; nine grandchildren, Libby Mike Eckhardt, Zachary Johnson, Amber Johnson, Eli Johnson, Dan Sweet, Jesse Jen Sweet, Caitlin Sweet, Jamie Heydinger and Jillian Heydinger; two great grandchildren, Levi Eckhardt and Max Sweet; two brothers, Jim Barbara Johnson and Dick Lorraine Johnson both of Michigan; two sisters, Betty Orr and Joan Pierce both of Michigan; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally Johnson; his parents; two brothers, Bob and Don Johnson; and a sister, Barbara Roth.
Memorial funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010, at the Ontario United Methodist Church conducted by Pastor Sondra Snode. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ontario United Methodist Church.
