

Betty was a hard worker and previously worked at Reeds and Lazarus. She was a 4'10 firecracker known for her feisty personality and boldness. She was nicknamed "Little Betty" by many who knew her and anytime she was asked how she was doing, her response would always be "fat and sassy." Betty liked to sew, crochet, cross-stitch, work in her yard and go boating and fishing at Lake Erie. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and loved going to their games.
Betty is survived by her three children, Pamela K. Simpson, Marsha L. (Michael) Scott and Edwin M. (Kimberly) Svejkovsky; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Jeff) McCoy, Matthew (Tracy Bond) Snyder, Sara (Tyler Stitzlein) Snyder, Wayne Svejkovsky, Scott (Shannon) Winton, Brandi (Jody) Wilson and Aaron Murray; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Lockhart; and sister-in-law, Shirley Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Svejkovsky; her twin brother, William Smith; brothers, Leonard Smith and Robert Smith; and twin grandsons, Kenneth and Edwin.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2020 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. A memorial service will follow thereafter at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Chris Thomas officiating.
