Beverly June Weaver, age 89, of Ontario, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 2, 1926 in Galion, Ohio, the only child of Frederick Moss and Katherine (Kosick) Moss Hellinger.
Beverly lived in Ontario most of her life and married the love of her life, Robert Weaver, on August 5, 1945. She was a wonderful homemaker and very good cook and baker, her pies were superior by any standards-especially her grape and black raspberry, as well as her three layer German Chocolate cake and Hummingbird cake. Beverly was such a great baker, she replicated the recipe for Hummingbird cake perfectly after she tasted it at the Bald Mountain Country Club in Lake Lure, North Carolina. Beverly lovingly tended her flower garden and making her home inviting both indoors and out. She enjoyed reading and listening to music, especially the "Oldies". Beverly also loved the Bible and found great joy in sharing with others the truths she had learned in 65 years as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. In her free time, she loved to travel and especially enjoyed Lake Lure in North Carolina.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Bob Weaver; four children, Terry Weaver of Denver, CO, Bob (Nancy) Weaver of Columbus, OH, Sandy Weaver of Ontario, OH, and Kim (Mark) Lawrence of Buford, GA; and two grandchildren, Meagan Weaver of Nashville, TN, and Katie Weaver of Columbus, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2016, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with James Barth, an elder serving the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah Witnesses in Ontario officiating. Private burial will be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice, 335 Glessner Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio 44903.
