

Bonnie J. Bowman, 91, of Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born January 20, 1926, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Carl and Idella (Snyder) Stief.
Bonnie graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1944 and was a full time homemaker. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and was loved by everyone. Always busy, Bonnie had the opportunity to take a trip of a lifetime to Israel. Her memories of the Holy Land were treasures in her heart and she enjoyed sharing Christ's love with all she knew. Bonnie was an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church until the time of it's closing. Many treasured friends made at church remained in her heart and prayers.
Left to cherish the legacy of love shown to them are Bonnie's children, Cheryl DeLaney and Nick (Denise) Bowman, both of Mansfield; three grandchildren, April (Chuck) McDermott, Heather Bowman and Kimberly (Tim) Thornton, all of Mansfield; three great-grandchildren, Julie, Krystal, and Eric; and four great-great grandchildren, Morgan, Alivia, Andrew and Piper.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin F. Bowman and a brother, Jack Stief.
The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park beside her beloved husband.
