
Carl Kissel, 84, of Mansfield, died Wednesday morning, June 29, 2005 at Oak Grove Manor after an extended illness. Born April 3, 1921 in Mansfield, he was the son of Andrew and Theresa Dinger Kissel. He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church. Mr. Kissel retired from Tappan Industries after 42 years as a tool and die maker, and was a member of the 25 Year Club. He enjoyed gardening, and traveling, especially through the western states.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Nancy Stacy Kissel of Mansfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Julie Kissel of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Alice Sampsel Kissel in 1984; two infant daughters; one son, Donald Kissel in 1999; and two brothers, Andrew Kissel in 1973, and Martin Kissel in 1972.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday June 30, 2005 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Friends may also call one hour prior to the 3 p.m. funeral service Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Cloyd Kress officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First English Lutheran Church Christian Day School.
