Directly after high school, Carolyn moved to Washington D.C. to pursue a career with the FBI. After two years in D.C., she moved to Columbus where she met her lifelong partner and they married July 11th 1970. She raised two brilliant, talented, quick witted, and caring boys (especially the youngest, who may or may not be writing this obituary). She was devoted to her children, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams and supporting them in every way she could.
Carolyn was also a cherished grandmother, sharing her wisdom, stories, and unconditional love with Sayed, Frankie, and Gloria. In addition to raising two children and being a mom to countless others, she was a devoted employee of Hallmark and forged lasting friendships at Kohls where she mainly worked. She was a committed volunteer to causes she held close to her heart which included: Volunteering at the polling places during each election. Helping children with their reading at the DeWalt Center and various schools in the Mansfield school district. As well as volunteering as a secretary for Autism Awareness for 15 years.
Carolyn will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generosity, and her unwavering strength. She found joy in helping others, volunteering in her community, and creating lasting memories with family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled and the love she gave.
