
Charles C. Wolford, 59 of Ontario, Ohio died February 24, 2000 at home following a brief illness. Mr. Wolford was born March 20, 1940 in Canton, Ohio residing in the Mansfield area most of his life. He was employed at General Motors in Ontario as a Transfer Press Operator and was a 1958 graduate of Shelby High School. Mr. Wolford was a member of U.A.W. #549 and an avid bowler. Surviving are his wife, Ginger Ruby Wolford; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David and Nancy Wolford of Greensboro, North Carolina; and Bret Wolford of Shelby, Ohio; one daughter Connie Wolford of Hilliard, Ohio and her fiancée, Robert Palm of Lexington, Ohio; two step-granddaughters; his father and his spouse, Clifton and Marilyn Wolford of Shelby, Ohio; one sister, Sue Day of Fort Myers, Florida; four sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Dale Smith of Galion, Ohio; Jack and Pat Ruby of Pine Island, Florida; Lee and Larry Wolfe of Ontario, Ohio; and Sherri and David Pugh of Kennesaw, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Cousins Wolford. Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Mansfield Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. James Winkler of Ontario United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ontario United Methodist Church.
