Charlotte Elizabeth Allen, 88, of Mansfield, died Sunday, March 11, 2012 at her home. Born June 28, 1923 in Blacklick, OH, she was the daughter of William and Rolasie (Ewing) Rock. A homemaker, Charlotte loved being outside and working outdoors. She enjoyed trips to Amish country and shopping and liked listening to religious music. A family woman, Charlotte loved her grandkids and great grandkids.
She is survived by her children, Dixie Murphy, William (Charlotte) Allen, Leslie Allen, Londa (William) McCormick, Linda Bodes, and Mary Lord; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sisters, Lola A. Au and Ida Belle; and brother, Melvin Rock. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ethan Allen; four brothers; three sisters; two sons-in-law, one granddaughter; and one granddaughter-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario, conducted by Pastor Michael Weaver. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
