

Craig enjoyed basketball, football and power lifting. He holds three state record for power lifting and played one year of semi-pro football after graduation from Madison Comprehensive High School. An all around gifted athlete, he became a great golfer in his adult years. Craig was a member of Outlaw Barbell Power Lifting.
Craig had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. He was a wonderful father and supported his children in all their activities. He adored his canine companions and could often be found watching a football game with one of them next to him.
He is survived by his children, Evan, Garrett and Nicoleesta; wife, Kaiulani Rhoads; mother, Connie Holmes; his step-father, Alan Thayer; brothers, Todd and Tony Holmes; sister, Tamy Holmes; and best friend, Scott Evans. He was preceded in death by his father, John W. Holmes; grandparents, Frances and Howard Gibson; uncle, Tim Perry; and cousin, Kari Gibson.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, February 13, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. at Wappner Cremation Center, 1327 Ashland Rd., Mansfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in care of the Holmes family, 741 Yale Avenue, Mansfield, OH 44905.
