Dale Turner

Dale L. Turner, 60, of Pavonia Road North died Friday afternoon, December 28, 2001 at OSU James Cancer Center, Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Turner was born October 18, 1941 in Fredericktown, Ohio living in the Mansfield area since 1981. He was employed with Therm-o-Disc for 10 years and then for Schneider Trucking. He attended First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed working on cars, especially engines. Mr. Turner served in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Richards Turner of Mansfield; two daughters and a son-in-law, Robin & Scott Shepley and Nicole Turner, all of Brewer, Maine; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald & Lynn Turner of Gorham, Maine; three stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Kim & Andy Schrack of Bellville, Ohio, Peg & Leone Shaler of Ashland, Virginia, and Anita Marsell & Mark Weldy of Springfield, Ohio; three stepsons and a daughter-in-law, Don & Sonja Pluck of Mansfield, Chris Pluck of Columbus, Ohio, and T.J. Pluck of Reston, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Brittany Gault, Dakota Gault, Summer Shepley, Nicholas Turner, Justin Drouin, Semelia Turner, and Dylan Turner; seven stepgrandchildren, Autumn Schrack, Drew Schrack, Lukas Shaler, Gavin Shaler, Carl Weldy, Lyndsie Pluck, and Ryan Pluck; his father and stepmother, Don & Letha Turner of Lexington; his mother, Goldie Tobin of Mansfield; a half brother, Jack Turner of Bellville, Ohio; two half sisters, Linda Yoho of Mansfield and Lisa Shutt of Fredericktown, Ohio; a stepsister, Marcia Duffey of Columbus, Ohio; eight nieces and five nephews and their children; two uncles; and six aunts.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Dr. Roger E. Smith. Burial will be in Nova Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to James Cancer Center.
