
Danny R. Hart, age 64 of 141 Blanche Street, died Sunday morning May 7, 2000 at Woodlawn Nursing Home following a brief illness. Mr. Hart was born September 20, 1935 in Central City, Kentucky living in the Mansfield area since 1964. He retired from General Motors. Mr. Hart was a member of Amvets Post #26, 1984 National Saddest Sad Sack; a 19 year member of the American Legion Post #16, Liederkranz and a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Glenna Naylor Hart of Mansfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Valerie & Larry Baker of Mansfield, Vickie & Tim Askew of Fredericktown; four sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence & Regina Hart of Abilene, Texas, Clay & Cherry Hart of Johannesburg, South Africa, Craig & Mary Hart of Fishers, Indiana, Cary & Heidi Hart of Lucas, Ohio; eighteen grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Billy & Joyce Hart of St. Cloud, Florida; a niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence H. & Louie Watkins; and two granddaughters, Rebecca Baker & Emily Hart.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Sad Sacks will hold an evening salute during Tuesday calling and a full military service will follow the funeral service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted by the family of the deceased Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Sad Sacks Nursing Scholarship Fund.
