David E. Kinney

David E. Kinney, 83, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Arbors at Mifflin. Born February 5, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Robert J. Kinney, Sr. and Edith B. (Davis) Kinney.

David lived most of his life in Mansfield from his early grade school days. He graduated from Mt. Vernon Academy High School and Andrews University in Michigan. David was a school teacher having taught in the Mansfield City School District until his retirement. After his retirement, he spent winters in Florida and worked at Walt Disney World. David was a member of the Fredericktown Seventh Day Adventist Church and formerly of the Mansfield Church where he was church organist. He also served as organist for one of the local Baptist Church.

He is survived by his brother, Robert (Marguerite) Kinney, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Jane (Kinney) and Jerry Baugher, Karen (Kinney) and Leonard Shockey and James Kinney; great nephews, Brian and Jason Shockey; and cousins, Sue and Dave Leninger.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018 at Mansfield Cemetery conducted by Pastor Ron Vozar.
