

David A. Klein, 61, of Mansfield, passed away early Saturday morning, January 14, 2017. He was surrounded by his family and friends when he passed after a brief illness. He was born September 1, 1955 in Akron, Ohio.
Dave grew up in Akron and graduated from Hoban High School. He worked as a manager at Costco for 30 years traveling throughout many of the United States. An avid Cleveland Browns fan, he enjoyed watching them each week.
Dave was a family man and loved his family dearly. His beloved three Yorkies were a great source of unconditional love for him. He enjoyed being outside in the sun. Dave enjoyed music and the guitar was his favorite instrument to play. His blue eyes, smile and sincere kindness will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his significant other, Attorney Jeanne Pitzer; two children, Jonah (Yulia) Klein and Tanya Klein; three step children, Jim Miles, Joe Miles and Jasmine Miles; two grandchildren, Michael David Fritz and Brianna Klein; a brother, Don (Frankie) Klein; and family friend. Dave is also survived by Jeanne's parents, Gene and Janet Pitzer; her sister and brother-in-law, Vicky and Frank Jenkins; special friends, Kaley and Kiley Fritz; and numerous other special friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncle, Father Al Klein.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Don Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
