David C. Penney, 42 of 20 South Linden Rd. died December 13, 1999 at home unexpectedly. Mr. Penney was born June 12, 1957 in Mansfield being a life long resident. He was employed as an automotive technician and a member of Moose Lodge #39, NRA and of VFW post # 3494. Mr. Penney was a veteran of the United States Marines. Surviving are his wife, Kay Penney of Mansfield; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Charles Penney of Johnsville, Ohio; Michael & Charmy Penney of Mansfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Kay & John Witwer of Mansfield; five grandchildren, William Witwer of Mansfield; Samantha Witwer of Mansfield; Elijah Penney and Kayla Penney both of Johnsville; and Micheal Penney of Mansfield; his parents, Charles Penney of Mansfield; and Shirley Hale of Las Vegas, Nevada; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul & Kathy Wise of Indiana; John Penney of Mansfield; and Steve Penney of California; and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Micheal Penney. Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Thursday from 2-5 p.m. with military services conducted by the Richland County Burial Detail following visitation.
