

Deanna L. Acker, 52, of Ashland, passed away March 19, 2015. Born September 24, 1962 in Ashland, she was the daughter of Gary and Sharon (Pettit) Burley. Deanna was an amazing, wonderful mother and wife who was full of life and well loved. She was an accomplished artist and writer, working with many different mediums. A free spirit, Deanna knew that her housewife title was more suited for that of "domestic goddess." After years of taking care of her family, she decided to do a little something for herself, and had just began her schooling for cosmetology. She attended Ashland Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Carl Acker of Ashland; daughters, Jade Acker of Ashland, Amber Loss of Elyria, and Brenna (Matt) Ridgeway of Cardington; grandsons, William Acker-Crim, Evan Loss, and Anthony Loss; sister, Brenda (Ron) Drugan of Ashland; close nieces, Brittany Patterson, Ashley Patterson, and Kim Sowders; and several other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews that were dear to her heart.
Deanna was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, OH 44805. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. An additional hour of calling will be held one hour prior to the service, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery.
