

Dominique N. Walker, 35, of Centerburg, passed away at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville, Ohio on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. Dominique was born on August, 24, 1984 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of John R. Walker and Deborah (Atkins) Young.
Vibrant, free-spirited, beautiful, caring are all words that can be used to accurately describe Dominique. She loved her family, especially her mother that she lovingly cared for, and was always shopping bringing her little gifts. Dominique was beautiful inside and out and had an unforgettable smile. She enjoyed life filled with music, dancing, and good food, bourbon chicken and spaghetti made by her family were two of her favorites. She took caring for others into her career as a home health aide, and was employed by Cambridge Home Health and Continental Home Health.
She leaves behind her mother, Deborah Young (Eugene Howard); her brothers, John (Sheena Liggett-Walker) Walker Jr., and James (Wanda) Walker; her sisters, Yolanda Atkins, Nina Walker, Renee (Phill George) Walker, and Tammie Walker; her children, Nia`ger Williams, Shy`eed Joyner, and Ki`riya Sloan; her uncles, Williams (Lisa) Atkins, Boris (Obesida) Cooke, William (Billy) Atkins, and Freddie (Toni) Walker; her aunts, Dana Atkins, Wanda Atkins, Deloris (Bennie) Lynch, Gloria Jenkins, Audrey Walker, Deborah Jones, Sharon Walker, and Regina Corbin (Willie Davis); a niece and caregiver, Trinity Bond; and many other relatives and dear friends.
Dominique was preceded in death by her father, John Walker; her sister, Lashawn Walker; grandparents, William and Fannie Atkins, Tyler Lee Walker, and Robert Jack Collins; her uncles, Alfred Corbin, Clint Walker, Arskia Walker, Ronell Walker, Kenneth Walker, Linnadus Walker, and Leslie Walker; and her aunts, Esseiena Atkins, Bessie May, and Sandra Hayes-Walker.
There will be no public services at this time. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
