He was born September 16, 1945 in Keyser, West Virginia. A veteran of the United States Navy, Donald served his country during the Vietnam War. He retired from CSX after 30 years of service. A man of many talents, Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, knife making, gun smithing, camping, writing, model railroading and even building houses, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathy; a daughter, Aileen (Bobby) Stewart; a son, Brett (Carey) Slater; grandchildren, Kylie Slater, Hudson Slater, Ryder Slater and Emily Stewart; and a daughter in Jesus, Mary Kay Daniel.
Per Donald’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
