
Doris E. Boyce, 54, of Mansfield, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at her residence. Born August 2, 1954, in Hutchinson, KS, she was the daughter of Ralph Richard Enoch, Jr. and Barbara Geraldine Brown Enoch. Doris graduated from Ontario High school and was former Miss Ontario 1972 and Miss Mansfield 1973. She worked at the News Journal with the photo ad page. She loved little kids and ran the Ontario Summer Recreational Department for Preschoolers through the city. She enjoyed cooking, reading recipe books, and everything about the fall from carving pumpkins to watching OSU football games and the marching band. She loved all kinds of animals, but she especially enjoyed spending time with all her family and friends.
Surviving is her husband Randy Boyce, who she married August 26, 1989; children, Amy Smith of Ashland, Chad Smith of Lakeland, FL, and Kayleigh and Brady Boyce of Mansfield; brother, Mark Enoch; sister, Stephanie Brad Enoch; brothers-in-law, Greg Cheryl Boyce, Bruce Debbie Boyce, and Martin Karen Boyce; father, Dick Enoch; mother-in-law, Joan Boyce; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gerry Enoch and father-in-law, Donald Boyce.
Friends may call Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 11:00 at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Clifford D. Schutjer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
