Doris Marie Maddox

Doris Marie “Momma” Maddox went to be with the Lord, with her family at her side on April 28, 2025. Doris was the happiest and most loving person you could ever come by. She was born August 23, 1958, in Brooklyn, New York to Willie, Sr. and Alma Edmonds.

Doris loved spending time with her family, watching football, and her scratch-off tickets. She also loved her phone calls with sisters and brother.

Doris leaves behind her children, Kizzy (Tyrone) Smith and Lashan (Tina) Edmonds; grandson, Robert (phat phat) Smith; sisters, Barbara, Debra, Betty Jean, and Denise; brother Willie Edmonds. She is also survived by many friends; nieces and nephews; a very special friend and nurse, Abby Myers.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Alma Edmonds; her father, Willie Edmonds, Sr.; brother Ronald Edmonds; nephew, Eddie Billard; and her husband, Terry Maddox.
