Doris Wickett

Doris M. Wickett, 85, of Mansfield, OH, died October 3, 2013, at MedCentral Hospice. Born January 17, 1928, in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of Yancey and Haley (Vernon) Barrick. Doris was employed at Aetna, working as a claims representative from 1969-1986. She was a talkative, independent, neighborly, and loving lady who enjoyed bingo, sudoku, and spending time with her grandchildren. She spent most of her life in Mansfield, but did move to Bradenton, Florida in 2005. She was a member of Ontario Free Methodist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Diana (Bruce) Kelly, Mansfield, OH; son, Terry (Mary) Wickett, Chandler, AZ; special daughter-in-law, Stephanie Wickett, Ft. Pierce, FL; grandchildren, Ron (Chantelle) Knowlton, Santa Fe, NM, Debra Spiering, Weston, FL, Megan McKenna, AZ, Corey Wickett, AZ, Lee Wickett, Las Vegas, NV, Jennifer (A.K.) Payamps, Orlando, FL, and Christopher (Stacey) Wickett, Ft. Pierce, FL; step-granddaughter, Jennifer Pashelich, Mansfield, OH; seven great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Barrick, Columbus, OH, and Donald Barrick, Columbus, OH; numerous nieces, nephews, and good friends and neighbors in Florida.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Miles C. Wickett; one son, Michael Wickett; and one sister, Shirley Daniels.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Mansfield, OH 44902. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2013 at the funeral home conducted by Pr. Tony Viscioni. Burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery.
