Douglas "Doug" A. Gerhart

Doug served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Woodville Grace Brethren Church. He loved watching NASCAR, riding his Honda Shadow motorcycle with his friends and his dog, Pierre. Doug raced on the dirt track in Lakeville and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and taking pictures, especially of his grandsons. A caretaker all his life, he was a great father and grandfather and was called pop and paw paw by his family whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by a son, Jason (Deidra) Gerhart; two grandsons, Lucas Gerhart and Leland Gerhart; a sister, Candy; an aunt, Georgine Murray; and many family in the Loudonville area.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, Ohio conducted by Pastor Ron Smals. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodville Grace Brethren Church.
