Douglas Dean Gerhart, 49, of Louisville, Kentucky died Wednesday morning, March 19, 2003 in Louisville. Mr. Gerhart was born February 11, 1954 in Mansfield to William George and Patricia J. Bookmyer Gerhart and was a Louisville resident the past 25 years. He was the owner of a floral and interior design business. Douglas was a member of the Ohio State Alumni Association.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Patricia and Robert Weidner; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Annette Gerhart, Scott and Julie Gerhart, Tracy and Sherry Gerhart; close friend and business partner, David King; nieces and nephews, Dustin, Lauren, Max, Eric, Keah, Ashlie, and Raine; step-grandmother, May Bookmyer; stepbrothers, David Weidner and Gary Weidner; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; a multitude of very close friends; and two special dogs, Gracie and Frazier. He was preceded in death by his father, William G. Gerhart.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to funeral services to be held Saturday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Kentucky.
