

Douglas was a 1965 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and was drafted into the United States Army where he served for two years. He was a member of the 11th Armored Cavalry Veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia. He worked for Tappan for 25 years followed by Warren Rupp for 15 years where he worked as an assembler. For 22 years he was a school bus driver for Ontario Schools. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.
He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Taylor whom he married June 13, 1970; two daughters, Stephanie D. Taylor of Massachusetts and Laurie (John) Hicks of Findlay, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Carol Taylor of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kent Taylor.
A Celebration of Life for Douglas will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Life Celebration Reception Center, 129 South Main Street, Mansfield, Ohio 44902.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice, Ontario United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
