
Dwight Rader, 77, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at his residence. He fought a very lengthy and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Born January 9, 1931, in Ontario, he was the son of G. Dewey and M. Violet Muth Rader. He was a very active member of The Church in Mansfield. He worked in the construction industry and taught carpentry at Pioneer JVS.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Barnhill Rader; a daughter, Eileen Dave Shields of Akron; two sons, Dale Connie Rader of Mansfield and Keith Lisa Rader of Lucas; grandchildren, Jeanette Andy Chin of Strongsville, David Shields of Akron, Joel Jordan Rader of Westerville and Jerod Rader of Naples, FL; step grandchildren, Joe and Jeff Matter of Orlando, FL; great grandchildren, Suzanna Chin of Strongsville and Thristen Shields of Akron; three brothers, Donald Rader of Mansfield, Virgil Leota Rader of Mechanicsburg and Darrell Marlene Rader of Woodstock, IL; a sister, LaDonna Daniel Fuhrer of Lexington; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Rader of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Burdell and Carroll Rader.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2008, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors conducted by Dave Shields. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
