Earl Shaw

Earl J. Shaw, 86, formerly of Mansfield died May 10, 2001 at Four Seasons Health Care Center of Columbus, Indiana following a brief illness. Mr. Shaw was born April 9, 1915 in Columbus, Ohio residing in the Mansfield area since 1950. He retired in 1980 from Carlton Miller Co. after 22 years as an Insurance Claims Adjuster. Mr. Shaw was a member of First Congregational Church. He was also a member of Hermits Club, a former member of Mansfield Aviation, Mansfield Rotary, SCORE and a past president and member of North Central Ohio Claims Club and of Mansfield Aviation Club and also had his pilot's license.

Surviving are his wife whom he married August 14, 1941, Mary Zwayer Shaw of Columbus, Indiana; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Debby Shaw of Columbus, Indiana; and two grandchildren, Colin and Liz Shaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marit and Hazel Keller Shaw; and two brothers, Marit and Walter K. Shaw.

Friends may call one hour prior to a memorial service which will be held at the First Congregational Church Chapel 640 Millsboro Rd. on Sunday May 13, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Dale Kibbey. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice. Wappner Funeral Directors are handling arrangements.
