Edna Frase

Edna P. Gilbert Frase, age 85 of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Sunday January 9, 2005 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born in Holmes County on April 1, 1919, she was the daughter of Julius and Mary Juergens. She was an active member of the First English Lutheran Church. Mrs. Frase was an avid card player and enjoyed flowers and bird watching.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil Frase; three daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Dan Wilson of Mansfield, Mary and Fred Shaffer of Mansfield, and Carol and Dale Fritz of Mound City, Kansas; two step sons and daughters-in-law, Virgil and Audrey Frase of Litchfield, Ohio and John and Mary Frase of Woodlands, Texas; three step daughters and son-in-law, Lois and Neal Rowland of Olmstead Falls, Ohio, Deborah Watkins of Lexington, and Jan Sorenson of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great- great grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; 15 step great grandchildren; and one step great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Wilmer E. Gilbert on September 8, 1978; and sister, Bessie McIntire.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday January 11, 2005 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Larson officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
