
Edward Eugene 'Foxy' Fox, 69, of 24 W. Tucker Street, Shelby, Ohio died at home Friday afternoon, March 5, 2004 after an extended illness. Mr. Fox was born March 24, 1934 in Mansfield, Ohio living in the Shelby/Mansfield area all of his life. He retired from General Motors. Later, he enjoyed the world of concessionaire as he made his famous Foxy's Elephant Ears and Funnel Cakes. He attended St. John's United Church of Christ, Crawford County Coon Hunters Club, Moose Lodge of Shelby, Loraine Beagle Club and the Conservation League.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Virginia Srode Fox of Shelby; four daughters, Cecile Hendrickson of Bellville, Amy Price of Clarksville, Tennessee, Rebecca 'Becky' Perry of Mansfield and Shelly Kincaid of Marengo, Ohio; a son, Tim Fox of Marion, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Miller of Toledo and Betty Dykstra of Clarksville, Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Judy Dacey of Florida; and first wife, Glenda Phipps of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Leota Keller Fox; second wife, Jeannie Fox; and a brother.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Lon McSherley. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
