Edwin Beer

Edwin J. Beer, 88 of Mansfield died unexpectedly November 17, 2000 at MedCentral Mansfield. Mr. Beer was born November 2, 1912 in Mansfield being a life long resident. He retired from General Motors in 1978 after twenty years of service. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church on Illinois Avenue.

Surviving are his wife, Thelma M. Shaffer Beer of Mansfield; three daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Edward Stevenson of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; Barbara and Tom Hone of Chaska, Minnesota; and Wendi and John Beck of Gahanna, Ohio; one son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Joyce Beer of Mansfield; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one brother, Ben Beer of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel and Josephine Beer; his brothers, Frank, Robert and Dave Beer; and sisters, Francelia, Hermine and Alma.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Sunday November 19, 2000 from 1-4 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. conducted by the Apostolic Christian Church at 84 N. Illinois Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Church.
