Eleanor E. McConnell, 96, of Mansfield died Wednesday evening, April 16, 2003 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. She was born April 29, 1906 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Leslie F. and Mary T. Davis and lived in the Mansfield area since 1926. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for the Y.M.C.A. for 16 years retiring in 1972. Eleanor was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church since 1927 and traveled with the Mohican Valley Airstream Club.
She is survived by several cousins including Mary Jane Kleiber and Ann Stotzfus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. McConnell in 1996; daughter, Mary E. MacFaul in 1985; and her parents.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to funeral services that will be held Monday, April 21 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Windsor Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Park Avenue Baptist Church.
