Elizabeth Libby Cotton, 69, died Friday, April 30, 2004 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio after unexpected complications following surgery. Libby was born August 11, 1934 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to the late William and Kathleen Halford Bateman. She has been a resident of Mansfield since January 1976. She was a member of the First Congregational Church where she served on the Women's Fellowship. Libby was active in many collecting hobbies with her husband, especially Carnival glass, and was a member of the Officer's Wives Club at the 179th Airlift Wing, Mansfield Lahm Airport. She was also a member of the Prime Time Ladies Stock Club and the Med Central Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, David Cotton of Mansfield; son, Lee Cotton of Mokena, Illinois; daughter, Beth Cotton Weith, husband Tim and grandson, Callan David Weith all of Columbia, Maryland. She is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at First Congregational Church on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. conducted by Rev. David Root. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
