

Elizabeth 'Betty' Linder, 74, of Mansfield died Thursday afternoon, May 30, 2002 at home after an extended illness. Mrs. Linder was born June 11, 1927 in Glendale, West Virginia residing in the Mansfield area most of her life. She was an active member of the Grace Brethren on Woodville Rd., where she attended Tuesday morning Ladies Bible Study. She was also a volunteer at the church helping with the Leadership for Children's Worship Devotional and Offering Meal and Hospitality. Elizabeth enjoyed camping, skating, dancing and reading.
Surviving are her husband, William Linder of Mansfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Mary Giesige of Mansfield; two daughters, Nancy Blizzard of Columbus and Donna Flowe of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Christina Fry; Timothy Giesige; Daniel Schoonover; Jason Giesige; Wendy Blizzard; Stephanie Festog; Amanda Uribe and Alisha Uribe; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Michael Sladek; and Oliver Sladek Jr. and one sister, Dorothy Mihok all of Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Josephine Sladek; one brother, Joseph Sladek and one sister, Helen Shank.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Sunday June 2, 2002 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Steve Kern. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
