
Ellen L. Dunson, 85 of 1745 Kenmore Dr. died Friday June 16, 2000 at MedCentral Mansfield following a four month illness. Mrs. Dunson was born August 16, 1914 in Greenwich, Ohio to Wilson H. Marvin and Lola Sampson Marvin, residing in the Mansfield area all of her life. She married Fuller L. Dunson in 1939 and was married almost 50 years before his death in 1988. She had worked at Stans Drive-In. She was a life-long member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was actively involved in many women's organizations and was the children's coordinator for many years. Her church family was very precious to her. She was also an avid Cleveland Indians Fan.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Judy Dunson of Zionsville, Indiana; Ronald and Beckie Dunson of Lexington, Ohio; and Larry and Pam Dunson of Attica, Ohio; grandchildren and their spouses, Karen and Earl Scrougham; Wendy and Chris Wells; Steve and Kellie Dunson; Scott and Carrie Dunson; Michael and Mandy Dunson; Jennifer Dunson; Christopher Dunson; Brian and Lisa Dunson and Joseph Dunson; twelve great-grandchildren, Ryan Nicole, Emily, Chelsie, Nicolette, Kaitlyn, Molly, Colton, Alexis, Julia, Ethan, Kendall and Garrett; one sister Lillian Cross of Sarasota, Florida; and one sister-in-law, Thelma Marvin of Port Angeles, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fuller; four brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. David Reed. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. The family request in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the church.
