Elmer A. "Doc" Smith, 78, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was born in Mansfield on June 24, 1942 to the late Leonard and Zella (Patton) Smith.
Elmer worked as a supervisor at Ohio Brass for over 20 years. He was a good hearted and loving man who would give the shirt off of his back to help anyone in need. Being family oriented, Elmer enjoyed spending time with his family and leaves behind many great memories that will be forever cherished. He loved animals and gambling, especially playing the slot machines.
Elmer is survived by his two daughters, Zella Boggs (Doug Bout) and Lisa Lookabaugh (Bryan Cornell); five grandchildren, Tabby (Steve) Fultz, Dana Lookabaugh (Daniel Blue), Cassey Lookabaugh (Nick George), Tricia Hall and Travis (Chelsea) Hall; several great-grandchildren; sister, Sherry (Jack) Bishop; and many other extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Smith; daughter, Teresa Hall; grandchildren, Larry Boggs and Brandy Smith; girlfriend, Nellie Martin; brother, Randy Patton; and sister, Marcina Patton.
No services will be held at this time. The Wappner Cremation Center is honored to have served the family.
