Emma Benick

Emma M. Benick, 91, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Lexington Court Care Center. Born May 21, 1914 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Carmino and Domenica Digiacomo Musille. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mrs. Benick loved spending time with her family, flower gardening, quilting, and Bingo. She was much loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Alvin and Donna Purkey of California, and one daughter and son-in-law, Sondra and David Benick of Mansfield; grandchildren, Alan and Cari Purkey of California, Brian Benick of Mt. Vernon, and Raina David Rengert of Mansfield; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Paige Rengert of Mansfield; brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Evelyn Musille of Mansfield; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Purkey; second husband, Matthew Benick, Sr.; two sisters, Elizabeth Colangelo, and Rose Weigler; one brother, Michael Musille; and one step-sister, Anna Restelli.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors where vigil services will be held at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home conducted by St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church.
