Enid Roberts

Enid Leota Roberts, 89, of Mansfield died Friday, December 5, 2003 at the Lexington Court Nursing Home from a long term illness. She was born January 21, 1914 in Mansfield to William and Georgie Shotwell Blackledge. Leota graduated from Madison High School in 1932. Mrs. Roberts was a charter member of the First Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; David and Carole Roberts of Mansfield, Robert and Lucille of Columbus, William and Mary Jane of Mansfield, and Charles of Mansfield, and Russell of Ringle, Wisconsin; sister-in-law; Kathrine McFadden of Cincinnati, two nieces, Betty Waters of Largo, Florida and Jeanine Pendelon of Dallas, Texas, one nephew; Ed Blackledge, thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Roberts March 29, 1988; parents William and Georgia Shotwell Blackledge of Mansfield; brothers, Raymond, Bernard, Ralph and William Blackledge; and one grandchild, Rick Roberts June 15, 1993.

Friends may call the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Monday, December 8, from 3-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30a.m.at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Linda Lewis and Rev. Emeritus Clyde Fry. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Brethren or MedCentral Hospice.
