EulaRee Churn, 84, a devoted servant of Jehovah, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2025, surrounded by family. Born September 2, 1940, to the late Booker T. and Katie C. Harris in Carrolton, Alabama, EulaRee was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 9, 1971, and faithfully served Jehovah until she left us.
Eula, as she was often called, was known for her smile, kindness, willingness to help others, and her dedication to Bible study. She found great joy in sharing the Good News of God’s Kingdom with others and was a true example of faith and resilience.
Eula leaves behind a legacy of love and service and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, J. W. Churn, to whom she was a devoted wife and offered faithful companionship; two sons, Julius and Eric Pigott; and a bonus daughter, Vicki (Michael) Colvin. She also leaves, to cherish her memory, two brothers, Robert Harris Sr., and Roosevelt (Rena) Harris; four sisters, Ollie Corder-Daniela (MI), Marie Cheathem, Nan Harris, and Elizabeth (Jason) Valdry; sister-in-law, Sheila Harris; twenty-nine grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, including special nieces and nephew, Shenee (Shay) Harris, LaKyya Emerson, and Kamodjja (Michael J.) Williams; close friends, Robin Ford, Becky Melton, Naydean Jackson, Joy Edwards, and Julius Pigott. Eula’s kindness, care, and love for others will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents Eula is preceded in death by her oldest son, Willie Harris; three siblings, John, James, and Burnett Harris; brother-in-law, Hoover Cheathem; niece, Verta Harris; LeRoy Canada and James Graham.
A Viewing will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services by Wappner located at 1327 Ashland Road, Mansfield from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services by Wappner is honored to serve the Churn family.
