Frances Rae Bowman

Frances was a graduate of Union High School and worked as a secretary for the Richland County Auditor’s Office. She was a member of Trinity Grace Fellowship (formerly Trinity United Methodist Church) and was a member of the Pavonia Garden Club. Frances enjoyed baking pies for church activities, crocheting, working in her flower beds and taking rides in Model-A cars. She also enjoyed spending time at their cottage on Lake Erie but she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Bowman; her son, Charles Scott Bowman; her daughter, Beth (Steve) Vipperman; her grandchildren, Taylor Bowman, Alexandra Bowman, Seth (Lydia) Vipperman and Brooke Vipperman; her brother, Paul (Paula) Wilford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frederic Wilford and her sister, Dana Wilford Brenner.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2023 at Trinity Grace Fellowship, 1592 Grace Street, Mansfield, Ohio 44905 conducted by Pastor Larry Carnes. Burial will follow in Pavonia Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
