Frances A. ''Fran'' McGarrity, 84, of Mansfield died unexpectedly Saturday evening, July 7, 2001 at MedCentral Mansfield. She was born March 11, 1917, in Hechla, Pennsylvania to Albert and Beatrice Pinksky Comminsky. Mrs. McGarrity was a resident of Mansfield since 1956 and she was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Carol and Lawrence Goss and Kathy Stoner, all of Mansfield; three grandchildren, Deb Yankovich, Jerry Stoner, and Mark Goss, all of Mansfield; six great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Steven, Anna, Travis, Jeremy, and Jerry Jr; and one niece. She was preceded in death by her husband, William McGarrity in 1986; her parents, Albert and Beatrice Comminsky; one son, Jerry McGarrity in 1956; four brothers, Sylvester, Eugene, Joseph and Albert Comminsky; and one sister, Eve Howe.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Tuesday, July 10 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
