Frances Kay Wukela

Frances “Francie” Kay Wukela, age 74, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at her home on January 31, 2025. She was born on July 1, 1950, in Mansfield to the late Herman and Florence (Kasper) Schacherer.

Francie was a loving wife, stepmother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to providing for and supporting her family. She was married to her devoted husband, Dennis Wukela, for 50 years, a partnership built on love, respect, and mutual care.

Known for her kindhearted nature, Francie was always there to lend a hand. She was a wonderful housekeeper, keeping her home warm and welcoming for family and friends. Her supportive and caring personality touched all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis; stepdaughters, Stephanie Achevich and Terri Wukela; five grandchildren, Abigail, Katelyn, Jason, Elizabeth, and Bryan (Robin); nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Laura (Adam) Keller, and Carol (Chuck) McCartney; nieces, Kim and Laura (Derek); and nephews, Jason and Derek. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Francie’s family has chosen not to hold services, but her memory will be cherished forever by those who loved her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her generous spirit, and the unwavering love she gave to her family. Wappner Funeral Directors-Mansfield is honored to serve the Wukela family.
