Frank Donato

Frank F. Donato, 83, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Friday, October 8, 2004 at Lexington Court Care Center after a brief illness. He was born July 31, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was the son of Fred F. and Rosemarie Greico Donato. Mr. Donato has lived in Mansfield since 1958, retired from General Motors and served in the United States Army.

Surviving are his wife, Daisy Donato and two sons, Frank Dawn Donato of Mansfield, Michael Donato of Mansfield; two daughters, Rosemarie Robert Rupel of Blacklick, Joan Robert Sells of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Jennifer Donato and fiancé Jason Brokaw, Alex Sells, Michelle Rupel, Kaitlynd Donato, Anthony Donato, Sara Rupel; and niece, Rosemary Keith Johnson of Philadelphia, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, Sue Donato, two sisters, Margaret Wall and Theresa Leone, and one brother, Fred Donato.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors from 12 to 1 p.m. Monday, October 11 where services will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dawn Donato of St. Luke's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Frank's grandchildren in care of Daisy Donato.
