
Frank Mathias Moritz, 83, of 980 Moritz Lane died Friday, July 13, 2001 at his home after a four-year illness. He was born December 15, 1917 in Mansfield to Fred and Mary Wilz Moritz and was a life-long resident. Mr. Moritz was a farmer, owner of Moritz Builders and sponsored Moritz Builders Softball team, former member of Ohio Builders Association, Real Estate Broker, past president of the Mansfield Board of Realtors, taught real estate classes and was President of Moritz Trailers. He also sponsored many community activities. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Stier Moritz whom he married January 27, 1940 in St. Peter's Catholic Church; one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Carol Moritz; two daughters and sons-in law, Marianna and Don Karr and Nauny and Jim Boyd; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Sylvia Moritz; one sister, Helen K. Harmon; twelve grandchildren and their spouses, Susan Moritz Harrington, Lisa and Dick Burggraf, Beth Woodruff, Margie and Scott Dennison, Helynn and Rich Hoffman, Frank and Michelle Moritz, Donna and Sid Hale, Tom Moritz, Jim Boyd, John Boyd, Danny Boyd, and Jesse Boyd; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Moritz, one brother, Fred Moritz, and two sisters, Anna and Helen Moritz.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday, July 15 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday at 1:00 p.m. with St. Peter's Catholic Church conducting services. Memorial contributions may be made to North Central Ohio Hospice.
