
Frederick W.'Fred' Willis, Sr., age 83, 795 Marlow Pl. died Sunday morning in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Willis was born November 2, 1915 in Mansfield to Carl and Ruby Oswalt Willis, living in this area all of his life. He was retired from auto sales after working in the Morehead Ford and Al Rosso Ford dealerships, involved for over thirty-five years with auto sales. Mr. Willis was a member of the Marquis Lodge #690 F. & A. M., Baku Grotto, Mansfield Liederkranz and the First English Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Peg Hamilton Willis; a son and daughter-in-law, Fred, Jr. and Barbara Willis of Mansfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda K. and Tom Mast of Bellville; a step son and daughter-in-law, Don and Linda Mellott Hamilton of Mansfield; a step daughter, Sondra Hamilton Letizia of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Michael Willis, Victoria Lenetine, Jill Bachelder, Kelly Thrush, Kimberly Ocheltree and Kathi Flynn; five step-grandchildren, Chip A. Letizia, Gregory S. Letizia, Kathleen Marzullo, Jennifer Hamilton Tokash and Stacy J. Hamilton; eleven great grandchildren, Rob, Rodney and Rachel Thrush; Tony, Amberly and Katie Ocheltree; Derek Shafer, Alexis Flynn; Samantha and Erik Bachelder and Jessica Lenetine; four step great grandchildren, Chase Letizia, Victoria, Vincent and Dominic Marzullo. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret K. Baki Willis and a brother, Carl Willis, Jr. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 am by Rev Cloyd Kress. Friends may gather at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Directors at 10:15 am to proceed to Mansfield Cemetery for burial services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
