Gail “Maxine” Biglin, 89, of Galion, Ohio passed away from a long goodbye d/t Alzheimer’s. She passed away at home peacefully surrounded by family. The oldest of 9 children, she was born on May 19, 1933 in Mt. Blanchard, Ohio to the late Clifton “Tip” Myers and Esther Pearl Yeater.
Gail always had a smile and the most positive outlook on life that made it fun to be around her. Her family was the most important thing to her. She was a busy mother of five children, spending many hours running one of us to music lessons, concerts, karate, school sports or she just stayed busy around the farm. She also loved to travel. She could grow any type of plant and was the queen of garage sales.
Gail also had a deep love for all of her grandchildren and had a large role in helping to care for all of them. Most of all, we miss her being her. This has been the longest and hardest goodbye d/t the Alzheimer’s.
Her husband of 57 years, Carl E. Biglin, preceded her in death on August 17, 2008. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Frances Lawrence, Edna Bohlen, Ann Cornish and Peg Biglin; and two brothers, Al Myers and Tom Myers.
She is survived by three daughters, Diana (Ted) Muntan of Lucas, OH, Mary Biglin of Alabama and Lisa (Tim) Burdine of Tennessee; two sons, Steve Biglin and his significant other, Lora of Lexington, OH and Dennis (Ann) Biglin of Galion, OH; 22 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ginny (Charlie) Jones of Harpster, OH; brother, Jim Myers of Upper Sandusky, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held to celebrate her life on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Resurrection Parish, 2600 Lexington Avenue, Lexington, OH 44904.
The Wappner Cremation Center is honored to serve the family.
