Gale Holloway

Gale Eugene Holloway died in Lakewood, OH on Thursday August 20, 2009, of an apparent heart attack in his sleep. He was born November 12, 1957 in Mansfield, OH to Lawrence and Nellie Hensley Holloway. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Ruth Hensley Holloway and brother-in-law, Steven L. Sauder, both of Mansfield. Surviving are his father, Lawrence W. Holloway of Mansfield; two siblings, Michael Holloway and Pamela Holloway Sauder, both of Mansfield; and two nieces, McKayla Alyse Sauder of Mansfield and Jessica Sauder Rowe of Galion.

He was a loving son, brother, and uncle and will be greatly missed by a multitude of family and friends. Gale was an accomplished pianist and vocalist who constantly gave of his time and talents to play and sing for many church and family functions. The sound of his playing and the sound of his voice will forever echo in our hearts. The man, his music, his talents, his laughter, love, and friendship will be so greatly missed by so many.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Grace Brethren Church, 1905 N. Lexington-Springmill Road. The service will be conducted by Pastor Les Vnasdale and Brother Don Smith. There will be a dinner provided by the church directly following the service, all are welcome to stay. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. A memorial website has been created at www.galeholloway.info for family and friends.
