Gary Lee Ryder, 74, of Mansfield, died August 20, 2015. He was born December 7, 1940 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Harold and Ersel (Riggs) Ryder. Gary enjoyed spending time with his family and loved doing crossword puzzles. He was a huge sports fan, always cheering on Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Ohio State.
Surviving are his children, Harold Ryder, Gary (Robin) Ryder, David (Heather) Ryder, and Cassandra (Tom) Hehmeyer; step-daughters, Cheryl Caris, Christina Hayhurst, Carisa Steiner, and Cynthia Bradley; grandson, Josiah Hehmeyer; brother, Danny Ryder; sister, Annetta Titus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernie P. Ryder Sr., Harold Eugene Ryder and David Ryder.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 11a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, Ohio 44902. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
